Powerful Paws. I'm not 100% sure with this, but that's what I have right now.
The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals has estimated that "approximately 37-47% of all households in the United States have a dog, and 30-37% have a cat". There are so many Americans with pets in their homes, and most of them are unaware of the ways that their pets are affecting their health.
Pets can be some of the best companions a person will have. They can be loyal, smart, silly, energetic, shy, friendly, and so much more. Whether you prefer furry friends with four paws or scaly reptiles with claws, pets can have a significant impact on your well-being. In my home, we have two cats, Lulu and Bella. They can be sweet and cuddly, energetic, or lazy. Animals have their own personalities and habits and behaviors that make them unique. When you decide to take in an animal to your home, they become a part of your family that you can't imagine living without. Thanks to the Michigan Council of Women in Technology, I have had the opportunity to compete in an annual contest and enter my website for the chance of becoming a finalist. Since this is my second year competing, I will be entering the advanced category. This year's theme is "Love Those Pets", so my theme has been centered around this main idea. In creating this website, I hope to demonstrate the benefits animals can have to your physical, mental, and emotional health. I hope that I will be able to educate people on a topic they weren't previously knowledgeable about and show just how great pets are! I made a Twitter account. My username is @powerful_paws
Airbnb's 404 page was one of my favorites. I liked the humor and animation integrated into it. I also liked the links on the page that may help redirect the user. Since our websites won't have many links to include, that won't really be a part of my 404 page, but the rest will be pretty similar. I plan to use my background and have the links placed on each neuron that lights up as you hover over it, which would be my animation. I'm working on mine.
I like the Jazz layout the most out of the three options. I like the simplicity and the way the color pops against the background. I think the navigation is easy and the home page has everything organized in a user-friendly way. I also think that this template is most similar to our current website. I don't know how important that is, but maybe it will make the site just look more updated instead of brand new, if that makes a difference. I think the update is long overdue, so this change needs to be good! This template is the one I would pick for our new website.
