On Thursday this week, I got to learn how to use the ultrasound machine! The techs that I work with sometimes use a special ultrasound machine when the therapist requests it. I've only seen them use it a few times in my month there, so I knew I was interested in watching one be performed and learning all about the process. The one technician, Sue, showed me how to give one, and taught me some of the science behind the way the ultrasound works, like why it doesn't produce pictures like a typical ultrasound does. She even showed me how it felt on my arm! It was really cool to learn about that, especially since I might use it if I get a summer job there!

You are planning to stay? So cool! I'm happy to hear about all of the opportunities and conversations you are having. They want you to get the experience and knowledge necessary for your success. Awesome!
